The Marine Park surrounding Lord Howe Island is home to an abundance of diverse eating fish in which supply is maintained by no commercial fishery. Lord Howe Island is ranked among the world’s top fishing destinations with fishermen catching fish such as the Black, Blue and Striped Marlin just half an hour from the jetty.
The Island offers game fishing for the amateur and expert alike. Large game fish that are caught at Lord Howe Island include Kingfish, Australian Salmon, Trevally, Whiting, Spangled Emperor, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo.
One can also fish from many of the island’s crystal clear beaches including Middle Beach and Old Settlement Beach.
